The annual QS World University Rankings by Subjects, published by British Quacquarelli Symonds every March, ranks universities around the world in 46 subjects, including Materials Science. Rankings are based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact. QS also publish a list of the top universities in the world overall every September, which also includes many Thermo-Calc users.
Support for Education
As Material Science programs are increasingly integrating ICME (Integrated Computational Materials Engineering) methodology courses into their curriculum, Thermo-Calc Software provide support to help universities access the necessary tools and learn how to use and teach them.
We offer a free Educational Package for undergraduate level materials science courses, which includes a limited demonstration version of our software along with teaching materials and problems for students, available for free on our website. We also support several summer school programs through teaching, sponsorship and providing free versions of our software and databases. Approximately half of Thermo-Calc users are universities, and we value our partnership with these institutions and are proud to support them.
Congratulations to all of the universities who made the 2017 list.
