Continuous Delivery- and Infrastructure Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will, together with the infrastructure team, be responsible for the Delivery Platform. This includes developing and maintaining current tools, pipelines, monitoring systems and infrastructure used daily by the development team. The candidate will also take part in research, design, and implementation within the ongoing migration of the infrastructure to the cloud.

Qualifications

As a person, you are social, solution-oriented, and responsive. You will be working closely with the infrastructure lead and the development team, so team-work and pair-programming skills are essential. Excellent written and verbal language skills in English are required.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Infrastructure as code (Git/Subversion)
  • Jenkins or other Continuous Integration tools
  • Windows, Mac, Linux (CLI, shell, PowerShell, groovy, )
  • At least one programming language (Java, C++/#, Python, etc.)

In addition, you should be eager to constantly develop your skills. Knowledge in the following areas is a merit:

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working with all parts of the development process in the team developing the numerical core of Thermo-Calc. A large part of the work will be dedicated to implementing the new CALPHAD core of Thermo-Calc. The current core is written in Fortran, while the new core is developed in Java. The position is also involved in writing and maintaining tests in the Continuous Integration infrastructure (currently Jenkins), maintaining and developing other parts of the core, second-line support, and similar tasks.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Materials Science with strong focus on numerics, or comparable experience
  • Several years of experience in numerical programming languages such as Fortran or C++
  • Interest in working with a large legacy code base written in Fortran 77 and 95
  • Experience in Java or other object-oriented programming languages is a merit
  • Excellent written and verbal language skills in English
  • Knowledge of Thermodynamics and CALPHAD is a merit
  • Knowledge of Swedish is no requirement

Qualifications and Skills

Primary Responsibilities

As a Materials CALPHAD Database Developer, you will lead or join a specific project to develop materials databases for thermodynamic, kinetic, and property calculations using the CALPHAD approach together with other methods, such as DFT. You will work independently and in teams, creating completely new databases or further improving existing ones that are critical to our business. You will take part in supporting and educating our clients for maximizing the impacts of our products in materials research and production.

Qualifications

  • Strong competence in CALPHAD modeling. We believe you have a doctorate degree in material science or similar with extensive research experience in CALPHAD assessments.
  • Proficient in using the Thermo-Calc software package (or similar).
  • Excellent track record in thermodynamic and/or kinetic modeling and assessments.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Qualifications and Skills

Job requirements:
  • Degree (PhD or MS) in Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics with a focus on areas of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Statistical Data Analysis.
  • Enthusiasm for team work and demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
  • Proven hands-on experience in at least several general-purpose machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques including deep learning, Bayesian analysis, Gaussian processes, Monte Carlo algorithms, kernel-based methods, and tree-based methods.
  • Excellent programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, R, MATLAB, C/C++, Java, and FORTRAN.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Desirable knowledge and experience:
