Current and future educators working in undergraduate thermodynamics, kinetics, mechanics of materials and solid-state physics are encouraged to apply for the 6th Summer School for Integrated Computational Materials Education, which will take place at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, June 5-16, 2017.
About the Course
The primary purpose of the course is to “educate the educator” in order to enable rapid implementation of computational tools into the undergraduate materials science and engineering curriculum around the world. The program equips participants with the knowledge, skills and materials needed to incorporate computational materials science and engineering (CMSE) into existing undergraduate courses. Students will get hands on experience of using Thermo-Calc and the opportunity to speak with an in-house expert in our software.
This innovative program is open to faculty, postgraduate researchers and graduate students with or without computational experience who are current educators or plan to go into education at an undergraduate level.

The application deadline is March 1, 2017 (and on rolling basis thereafter).
Additional Courses
PhD students, post-docs and scientists working in thermodynamics who do not plan to go into education may be interested in attending the School for Advanced Thermodynamic Assessments (SATA) arranged by CEA this summer in Presqu’ile de Giens, France.
Thermo-Calc Software is proud to support the growth and education of Computational Thermodynamics for graduate students, postgraduate researchers and faculty by supporting this and other educational programs.
